Looking for ideal gifts for the people I treasure in my life usually takes time, because I have to find the perfect gifts for them. Everybody would want to receive a gift that they can treasure for a long time and something that they really like, that is why I exert effort when it comes to gift hunting. As much as possible the gifts that I give are personalized or something unique and hard to find. Just like what I gave my best friend, I gave her a teddy bear wearing a shirt with our photos on it. When I give gifts, it does not necessarily have to be expensive, I can always make a little effort in creating something, like an album, a scrap book, etc. However, when it comes to giving gifts to children, I make sure that I give them something that they can use and learn from. I do not give them just simply any toys, I make sure that the toys I give are educational. Like for instance I gave Mark, my nephew, two sets of electronic kits for Christmas. Mark is already in third grade, so he can make use of the electronic kits to help him understand more about electricity. Little Mark was really grateful because he now knows more about electricity and electronics. Young kids can surely learn how electricity works because the kit includes manuals, wires, and many more. And when it comes to young girls, I mostly give them puzzles and books so that they can develop their reading comprehension and know the value of reading. I seldom give young girls Barbie dolls because for me, Barbie teaches young girls to be materialistic. Anyway, the price of the gifts really do not matter, it is the thought that always counts.
