When I was confined for three days in the hospital last month due to asthma, I was alone most of the time since my family also have other responsibilities to look after and I am also quite able to move around the room myself. The hospital has a very emergency alarm to call the nurse, which is the wireless nurse call system, I found this very useful and thought that we can surely have one at home for my grandma, who we chose not to bring to an elderly home. After I was discharged in the hospital, I was still told by my doctor to have complete rest for three days, so to make use of the three days I have just lying in my bed, I searched online for this new and trendy nurse call system. There could also be voice communication between the two ends of the line in this new call system, making it more than just a ringer for help and much safer and more reliable compared to the old style. I have then decided to purchase one for my grandma here at home so that her caregiver can be notified whenever grandma needs help and she is not in the same room as grandma but before buying one, I compared different brands and the features of their products. When the item arrived, I explained the use of the technology to both my grandma and the caregiver and then I saw a really beautiful smile of gratitude from my grandma and it made her look five years younger. We know that grandma can now easily call the attention of the caregiver with much less effort exerted and this makes us have more peace of mind whenever we are not at home.
